Principles for Selecting Cable Chain

- Inner Height: The inner height (HI) of the chain should be determined by taking the height of the thickest internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe and adding at least 10% of the space height as the reference.
- Inner Width: The inner width of the chain should be determined by taking the sum of the outside diameter of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes as the reference and leaving at least 10% of the space as a margin.
- Radius of a Bend: The radius of the biggest bend of a cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe should be used as a reference value, leaving 10% of the space as a margin.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cable, Oil Pipe, Water Pipe, or Gas Pipe
When laying internally cables, oil pipes, water pipes, or gas pipes, the following principles should be followed:
- Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow free movement of the internally laid cables and oil pipes, preventing stress on the drag chains in the direction of the radius.
- If the cables have significantly different diameters, they should be laid separately and the weight should be balanced evenly. Spacers can be used to separate them if necessary.
- When operating at high speed or high frequency, horizontally laid cables should be separated and not overlapped. If there are too many cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes laid together, it is recommended to use spacers.
Construction of the Cable Chain

- Each unit chain joint is made up of a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. The chain joints can be easily opened for assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be inserted into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
- Spacers are available for use, allowing the space inside the chain to be divided into divisions as per specific requirements.
