Principle for Selecting Cable Chain
Inner Height: Use the thickest piece of the internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference height. Add at least 10% of the space height to determine the inner height (HI). If overlapping occurs, consider the overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Sum the outside diameters of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes and use this sum as the reference for inner width. Ensure at least a 10% margin for space.
Radius of a Bend: Take the largest bend radius of the cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference value and leave a 10% space margin.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cables, Oil Pipes, Water Pipes, or Gas Pipes
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow internally laid cables and oil pipes to move freely, ensuring no stress is placed on the drag chains in the radial direction.
Cables with significantly different diameters should be laid separately, balancing the weight evenly. Use spacers if necessary to keep them apart.
For operations involving high speed or high frequency, horizontally laid cables should be separated and not overlapped. If there are many cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes laid together, it is advisable to use spacers.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain resembles the crawler of a tank, composed of several joints. These crawler joints can turn freely, ensuring flexible movement.
Chains of the same series share the same inner height, outer height, and pitch, but the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized to different specifications.
A unit chain joint consists of a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. Each joint can be opened to facilitate easy assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be inserted into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Spacers are available to divide the space inside the chain into sections according to specific requirements.
