Principle for Selecting Cable Chain
Inner Height: Choose the height of the thickest internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference. Add at least 10% of space height for the inner height (HI). If cables overlap, use the combined height of the overlapped cables as the actual height.
Inner Width: Determine the inner width by summing the outer diameters of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes. Ensure at least a 10% margin for space.
Radius of a Bend: Use the largest bend radius of a cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference value, leaving a 10% margin for space.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cables, Oil Pipes, Water Pipes, or Gas Pipes
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow internally laid cables and oil pipes to move freely, ensuring no stress on the drag chains in the direction of the radius.
Cables with significantly different diameters should be laid separately with balanced weight distribution. Utilize spacers if necessary to separate cables from each other.
For high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should be parted and not overlapped. If numerous cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, spacers are recommended.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain resembles the crawler of a tank, consisting of multiple joints. Each joint of the crawler can turn freely.
Chains of the same series share the same inner height, outer height, and pitch. However, inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized per different specifications.
Each unit chain joint consists of a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. These joints can be opened to facilitate easy assembly and dismantling without threading. After opening the cover plate, cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be placed into the drag chain.
Spacers are available for dividing the space inside the chain into sections as required.
