Principles for Selecting a Cable Chain
Inner Height: Choose the thickest piece of internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference height. Add at least 10% of space height to determine the inner height (HI). If cables overlap, consider the overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Calculate the sum of the outer diameters of the thickest cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes. Add at least 10% of space as a margin to determine the inner width.
Radius of Bend: Use the largest radius of bend from the cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes as a reference value, and add 10% of space as a margin.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cables, Oil Pipes, Water Pipes, or Gas Pipes
A 15% space margin should be reserved to ensure that internally laid cables and oil pipes can move freely, without exerting stress on the drag chains in the radial direction.
Cables with significantly different diameters should be laid separately with balanced weight distribution. Spacers can be used to separate cables if necessary.
For high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should be separated and not overlapped. If there are numerous cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes, the use of spacers is recommended.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain resembles a tank crawler, consisting of several joints that can freely rotate.
Chains within the same series share the same inner height, outer height, and pitch. However, the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized based on specific requirements.
Each unit chain joint comprises a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. Each joint can be opened, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be placed inside the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Dividers are available for use, enabling the internal space of the chain to be partitioned according to specific requirements.
