Steel Cable carriers are designed to guide, contain, and protect electrical cables/Oil pipes and hoses during machine movement. For use in dynamic applications between fixed and moving portions of the machine. Cable carriers reduce wear on cables and tubes, prevent cable entanglement, improve machine operation and appearance.

When selecting a cable chain, consider the following principles:

 

• Inner Height: Take the tallest internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference height, adding at least 10% of the space height as the inner height HI. If overlapping, use the overlapped height as the actual height.


• Inner Width: Sum the outside diameters of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes as the reference for inner width, leaving at least 10% of the space as a margin.


• Bend Radius: Use the largest radius of a bend of a cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference value, leaving 10% of the space as a margin.

For internally laid cables, oil pipes, water pipes, or gas pipes, reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow for free movement without stress on the drag chains. Ensure cables of different diameters are laid separately and weight is evenly balanced. Use spacers if necessary.

 

When operating at high speed or frequency, horizontally laid cables should not overlap. Use spacers if many cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together.

 

The construction of the cable chain resembles a tank's crawler, with joints that can freely turn. Each unit chain joint consists of left-right chain plates and up-down covers, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly without threading. Spacers are available to divide the space inside the chain as needed.
