Principle for Selecting Cable Chain
Inner Height: Use the thickest piece of the internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference height. Add at least 10% of the space height as the inner height (HI). If overlapping, consider the overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Sum the outside diameters of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes to determine the inner width, leaving a margin of at least 10% of the space.
Radius of a Bend: Consider the largest bending radius of the cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference value, leaving a margin of 10% of the space.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cable, Oil Pipe, Water Pipe, or Gas Pipe
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to ensure internally laid cables and oil pipes can move freely without stressing the drag chains in the direction of the radius.
For cables with significantly different diameters, lay them separately and balance the weight evenly. Use spacers if necessary to separate them.
During high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should be parted and not overlapped. If multiple cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, it is recommended to use spacers.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain resembles the crawler of a tank, consisting of a specific number of joints. These joints are freely rotatable.
Chains in the same series share the same inner height, outer height, and pitch. However, the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized per different specifications.
Each unit chain joint comprises a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. Every chain joint can be opened for easy assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be inserted into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Spacers can be used to divide the space inside the chain according to specific requirements.
