Principle for Selecting Cable Chain
Inner Height: Use the thickest piece of the internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference height, adding at least 10% of the space height as the inner height (HI). If overlapping occurs, consider the overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Sum the outer diameters of the thicker cables, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe to determine the reference inner width, ensuring at least 10% of the space is left as a margin.
Bend Radius: Use the largest bend radius of the cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference and leave a 10% margin.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cable, Oil Pipe, Water Pipe, or Gas Pipe
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow internally laid cables and oil pipes to move freely, ensuring there is no stress on the drag chains in the radial direction.
Cables with significantly varying diameters should be laid separately, balancing the weight evenly. Spacers can be used if necessary to separate them.
For high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should not overlap. If numerous cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, the use of spacers is recommended.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain's appearance resembles the crawler of a tank, comprising a specific number of joints. These joints are designed for free rotation.
The chains in the same series share the same inner height, outer height, and pitch, but the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized per different specifications.
A unit chain joint consists of a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. Each joint can be opened to facilitate easy assembly and disassembly without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be placed into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Spacers are available to partition the inner space of the chain into divisions as required.
