Inner Height: Consider the thickest cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference height, adding at least 10% of space as the minimum inner height (HI). For overlapping configurations, use the overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Take the total outside diameter of the thickest cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes as the reference for inner width, ensuring at least 10% additional space as a margin.
Radius of a Bend: Use the largest bend radius of a cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference value and leave a 10% space margin.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cable, Oil Pipe, Water Pipe, or Gas Pipe
A margin of 15% space should be reserved to ensure that internally laid cables and oil pipes move freely, preventing any stress on the drag chains in the direction of the radius.
Cables with significantly different diameters should be laid separately, with their weight evenly balanced. If needed, spacers can be used to separate and organize them.
For high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should be partitioned and not overlapped. If many cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, using spacers is recommended.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain's appearance resembles a tank crawler, consisting of a specific number of joints that can freely rotate.
Chains in the same series share the same inner height, outer height, and pitch, but the inner width and bend radius (R) can vary according to different specifications.
Each unit chain joint consists of left-right chain plates and an up-down cover. Each joint can be opened up for easy assembly and disassembly without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be inserted into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Spacers are available and can divide the space inside the chain into sections according to specific requirements.
