Guiding Principles for Selecting a Cable Chain
Inner Height: Use the thickest internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference height. Add at least 10% of the space height for the inner height (HI). If overlapping, consider the overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Sum the outside diameters of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes to determine the inner width. Ensure at least a 10% margin for additional space.
Bend Radius: Take the largest bend radius of any cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference value and leave a 10% margin for space.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cables, Oil Pipes, Water Pipes, or Gas Pipes
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow free movement of internally laid cables and oil pipes. This prevents stress on the drag chains in the radial direction.
For cables with significantly different diameters, lay them separately, ensuring an even weight distribution. Use spacers if necessary to separate them.
In high-speed or high-frequency operations, lay horizontally positioned cables separately without overlapping. If numerous cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, it is recommended to use spacers.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain resembles the crawler tracks of a tank, comprising a specific number of joints. Each joint of the crawler allows for free rotation.
Chains in the same series share identical inner height, outer height, and pitch, but the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized to different specifications.
A unit chain joint consists of left-right chain plates and an up-down cover. Each joint can be opened for easy assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes are easily inserted after opening the cover plate.
Spacers are available to divide the internal space of the chain into sections according to requirements, ensuring organized and efficient cable management.
