Inner Height: The inner height (HI) of the cable chain should be determined by taking the reference height of the thickest internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe, and adding at least 10% of the space height as the HI. If there is overlapping, the overlapped height should be considered as the actual height.
Inner Width: The inner width of the cable chain should be determined by summing up the outside diameter of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes, and leaving at least 10% of the space as a margin.
Radius of a Bend: The cable chain should have a bend radius that matches the biggest radius of a bend of a cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe, with an additional 10% of the space left as a margin.
When internally laying cables and oil pipes, it is important to reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow for free movement and prevent stress on the drag chains in the direction of the radius.
If there are cables with significantly different diameters, they should be laid separately and their weight should be balanced evenly. Spacers can be used to separate them if necessary.
For high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should be parted and should not overlap. If there are multiple cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes laid together, it is recommended to use spacers.
The cable chain is designed to resemble the crawler of a tank, consisting of a certain number of joints that can freely turn round.
All chains in the same series have the same inner height, outer height, and pitch. However, the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized according to different specifications.
Each unit chain joint consists of a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover, allowing for easy assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be placed into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Spacers are available to divide the space inside the chain into divisions as per specific requirements.
