Principle for Selecting Cable Chain
Inner Height: Use the thickest piece of internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference height. Add at least 10% of the space height to determine the inner height (HI). For overlapping pieces, use the combined height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Sum the outer diameters of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes, using this total as the reference for inner width. Ensure at least 10% of the space is left as a margin.
Radius of a Bend: Use the largest bend radius of any cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference value. Leave a margin of 10% of the space to accommodate bends.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cables, Oil Pipes, Water Pipes, or Gas Pipes
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to ensure that internally laid cables and oil pipes can move freely. This prevents stress on the drag chains in the radial direction.
Cables with significantly different diameters should be laid separately and their weight should be evenly distributed. Use spacers if necessary to segregate them.
For high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should be separated and not overlapped. If numerous cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, spacers are recommended.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain resembles the crawler of a tank, composed of a series of joints that can pivot freely.
Chains of the same series share identical inner and outer heights and pitch, but inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized to different specifications.
A unit chain joint consists of left-right chain plates and an up-down cover. Each joint can be opened for easy assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be inserted into the drag chain once the cover plate is lifted.
Spacers are available to subdivide the internal space of the chain according to specific needs.
