Principle for Selecting Cable Chain
Inner Height: Use the thickest component of the internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference height. Add at least 10% space height to determine the inner height (HI). If overlapping, use the overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Sum the diameters of the thickest cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes to find the inner width. Ensure at least 10% of the space is left as a margin.
Radius of a Bend: Use the largest bend radius of the cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference value and include a 10% margin.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cable, Oil Pipe, Water Pipe, or Gas Pipe
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow the internally laid cables and oil pipes to move freely without stressing the drag chains in the radial direction.
For cables with significantly different diameters, lay them separately and balance the weight evenly. Use spacers if necessary to keep them apart.
In high-speed or high-frequency operations, lay horizontally placed cables separately and avoid overlapping. If many cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, use spacers as recommended to ensure proper separation.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain resembles a tank crawler, consisting of multiple joints, each capable of rotating freely.
Chains in the same series share the same inner and outer heights and pitch, but the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized for different specifications.
Each unit chain joint comprises a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. The chain joints can be opened to facilitate assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be inserted into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Spacers are available to divide the space inside the chain into compartments as per requirements.
