When selecting a cable chain, it is important to consider the following principles:

• Inner Height: Take the height of the thickest internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as the reference height, adding at least 10% of the space height as the inner height HI.


• Inner Width: Calculate the sum of the outside diameter of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes as the reference for the inner width, leaving a 10% margin of space.


• Radius of a Bend: Use the largest radius of a bend of a cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference value, leaving a 10% margin of space.

For internally laid cables, oil pipes, water pipes, or gas pipes, ensure that 15% of the space is reserved as a margin to allow for free movement and prevent stress on the drag chains.

Construction of the cable chain resembles the crawler of a tank, with joints that can freely turn round. Each unit chain joint consists of left-right chain plates and up-down covers, allowing for easy assembly and dismantling without threading.

Spacers are available to divide the space inside the chain as needed, ensuring proper organization of cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes.

For high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should be separated to prevent overlap. Spacers can be used when multiple cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together.
