Principle for Selecting Cable Chain
Inner Height: Measure the thickest cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe to be installed and add an additional 10% of the space height to determine the inner height. If the cables overlap, use the total overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Sum the outer diameters of the thickest cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes to determine the inner width, allowing a minimum of 10% extra space as a margin.
Radius of a Bend: Use the largest bend radius of any cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference value, ensuring you leave an additional 10% of the space as a margin.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cables, Oil Pipes, Water Pipes, or Gas Pipes
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow internally laid cables and oil pipes to move freely without exerting stress on the drag chains in the direction of the radius.
For cables with significantly different diameters, they should be laid separately with even weight distribution. If needed, use spacers to keep them apart.
In high-speed or high-frequency operations, cables laid horizontally should be separated and not overlapped. If too many cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, the use of spacers is recommended.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The appearance of the chain resembles the crawler of a tank, composed of a specific number of joints. Each joint in the crawler can rotate freely.
Chains of the same series feature identical inner height, outer height, and pitch, but the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized according to different specifications.
Each unit chain joint consists of a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. These joints can be opened for easy assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be inserted into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Spacers are available to divide the internal space of the chain into sections as per specific requirements.
