Principle for selecting cable chain
Inner Height: Measure the thickest internal cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe. Use this measurement as a reference and add at least 10% of the space height as a margin for the inner height (HI). If overlapping occurs, use the total overlapped height as the actual height.
Inner Width: Sum the outer diameters of the largest cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes. Use this total as a reference for the inner width, leaving at least 10% of the space as a margin for optimal flexibility.
Radius of Bend: Utilize the largest bend radius of any cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference, ensuring to leave an additional 10% of the space as a margin.
Instructions for Internally Laid Cables, Oil Pipes, Water Pipes, or Gas Pipes
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow internally laid cables and oil pipes to move freely, thereby placing no stress on the drag chains along the radius direction.
For cables with significantly different diameters, lay them separately and balance the weight evenly. If needed, use spacers to separate them.
In high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should not be overlapped. If too many cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, use spacers to partition them for optimal performance.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The chain resembles the crawler of a tank and is composed of a specific number of joints. Each joint can rotate freely, providing flexibility and movement.
Chains within the same series have identical inner and outer heights and pitch, but the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized to different specifications.
Each unit chain joint consists of a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. The joints can be opened to facilitate easy assembly and dismantling without the need for threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be inserted into the drag chain after opening the cover plate.
Spacers can be used to divide the space inside the chain into separate sections as per requirements.
