Principles for Selecting Cable Chain:

• Inner Height: The inner height (HI) of the cable chain should be determined by taking the reference height of the thickest internally installed cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe. Add at least 10% of the space height as the inner height. If there are overlapping components, consider the overlapped height as the actual height.


• Inner Width: The inner width of the cable chain should be determined by summing up the outside diameter of the thicker cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes. Leave at least 10% of the space as a margin.


• Radius of a Bend: The cable chain should accommodate the biggest radius of a bend of a cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe. Leave 10% of the space as a margin.

Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cable, Oil Pipe, Water Pipe, or Gas Pipe:

• Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow free movement of internally laid cables and oil pipes, preventing stress on the drag chains in the direction of the radius.


• If there are cables with significantly different diameters, lay them separately and ensure balanced weight distribution. Spacers can be used to separate them if necessary.


• When operating at high speed or high frequency, horizontally laid cables should be parted and should not overlap. If there are multiple cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes laid together, it is recommended to use spacers.

Construction of the Cable Chain:

The cable chain features a tank-like appearance, consisting of a certain number of joints that can freely turn round. Each joint is made up of a left-right chain plate and an up-down cover. The chain joints can be easily opened for convenient assembly and dismantling without threading. Cables, oil pipes, and gas pipes can be placed into the drag chain after opening the cover plate. Spacers are available to divide the space inside the chain into divisions as per requirements.
