Inner Width: Calculate the inner width by summing the outer diameters of the thickest cables, oil pipes, gas pipes, or water pipes. Ensure to leave at least 10% of this width as a margin for optimal performance.
Radius of a Bend: Use the largest bend radius of a cable, oil pipe, gas pipe, or water pipe as a reference. Incorporate an additional 10% as a margin to ensure smooth and effective operation.
Instruction Principles for Internally Laid Cable, Oil Pipe, Water Pipe, or Gas Pipe
Reserve 15% of the space as a margin to allow free movement of internally laid cables and oil pipes. This ensures no stress is exerted on the drag chains along the radius direction.
For cables that vary significantly in diameter, lay them separately and balance their weight evenly. Use spacers if necessary to separate them and ensure optimal organization.
During high-speed or high-frequency operations, horizontally laid cables should be separated and not overlapped. If numerous cables, gas pipes, and oil pipes are laid together, use spacers for effective separation and management.
Construction of the Cable Chain
The cable chain looks similar to a tank’s crawler, consisting of a set number of joints that can rotate freely. This design allows for enhanced flexibility and durability.
Chains of the same series share identical inner height, outer height, and pitch. However, the inner width and bend radius (R) can be customized to meet different specifications.
